Phuentsholing - Darjeeling - Gangtok Kathmandu - Chitwan NP

Journey from Bhutan's foothills, from its south-eastern border town of Phuentsholing across much of West Bengal to Darjeeling, the queen of India's hill stations. After marveling at the backdrop of the Himalayas, with Mount Kanchenjunga towering ahead, descent steeply down to Teesta Bridge, enter Sikkim, only to ascend steeply back up to the capitol of Gangtok. As if it can be any other way, descent once again to the plains traversing to Nepal border, and from here transfer to the legendary Kathmandu Valley. Explore its old temples including Pashupatinath, Bodnath and Swayambhunath, its remarkable squares and colorful bazaars, from Durbar Square of Katmandu to that of Patan and Bhaktapur. And finally travel down to the steaming jungles of Chitwan to dare an encounter with the one-horned rhino.
